enCity presented VSIP Long An Industrial township Master plan with Long An Province

On July 12th 2021, enCity presented the masterplan for VSIP (Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park) Long An to the provincial leaders of Long An, with the participation of Prof. Heng Chye Kiang (Senior Advisor, enCity). With the area of 23.94 km2, the high-quality modern industrial township will support infrastructure systems and facilities for more than 180,000 people, creating more than 115,000 new jobs, 55 km new industrial roads, 115 ha new parks and 55 new schools.

As Vietnam’s leading industrial developer, Becamex, in partnership with enCity, is constantly growing and innovating its integrated industrial township development models in Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Binh Thuan and Long An. VSIP Long An is envisioned to become a dynamic ecosystem of manufacturing sector and a destination for international investors.

Pablo Acebillo (Manager of Master planning & design, Singapore office, enCity) stated that: “The new plan features amenities, kindergartens, markets, medical services and community centres evenly distributed across each neighborhood and well-connected by a system of green corridors. Each township is allocated with its own sports facilities, which are strategically co-located with schools. Ample green and open spaces act as a buffer between the industrial and residential areas. Mixed-use strip corridors located near the Township central parks provide vibrancy to the area.”

enCity also drafted a planning framework for the project’s different land use typologies and designed four focus areas that apply these guidelines and shape the character of the development – West Gate, the gateway community welcoming visitors from Ring Road 4; Sports Center, the active hub where the canal is utilized for water sports; Education Cluster, the learning centre composed of integrated academic institutions; and Central Park, the green heart of the whole township.

The new Long An VSIP is envisioned to become an exemplar of quality living standards in synergy with an optimal manufacturing environment for residents and workers alike.

After the presentation, the provincial leaders agreed all praised enCity’s masterplan and the socio-economic benefits offered by the new ground-breaking development to future investors and tenants.
