06.2020 Phan Thiet: On the 5th of June 2020, enCity presented the masterplan for Becamex VSIP Industrial – Service – Urban Complex Binh Thuan to the provincial leaders of Binh Duong and Binh Thuan. The modern industrial hub will attract international investors, create a vibrant manufacturing ecosystem and develop infrastructure within and beyond the site boundary to support the socio-economic growth of Binh Thuan province. It will generate 300,000 new jobs and provide affordable and high-quality housing to settle local residents, as well as draw in workers and talents from other cities and countries around the world.

As Vietnam’s leading industrial developer, Becamex, in partnership with enCity, is constantly growing and innovating its development models, starting from the construction of industrial clusters in the 1990s to currently planning integrated townships and technology parks. Its newest project encompasses 4,984 hectares of land between Ham Tan District and La Gi Town in the province of Binh Thuan. Strategically located along Highway 55, Becamex VSIP Binh Thuan has strong regional connections to Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Cai Mep Port and Phan Thiet City. The site is also adjacent to a planned industrial LNG port, further enhancing the economic value of the area and making it fertile ground for upcoming industrial activity.

In addition, the proposed masterplan fosters work-live environments by forming synergies between the industrial parks and integrated townships. It offers a wide range of residential products in walkable and livable neighborhoods, complete with accessible community amenities, town centres and green networks. Over-all, the project contributes public parks with a total area equivalent to 800 soccer fields, 100 new kindergartens, primary/secondary schools and high schools, and 90 kilometers of new industrial roads.

For its implementation, Becamex VSIP Binh Thuan is divided into two investment stages: Phase 1, comprising of 714 hectares of both industrial and residential components to be built within 2020 to 2023, and Phase 2 which is the remaining area to be developed up to 2030. During the presentation, the provincial leaders agreed to establish a committee to oversee, coordinate and manage any issues in order to expedite the progress of the project.

In their concluding remarks, the political representatives present in the meeting, including the Binh Thuan and Binh Duong provincial leaders, the Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, the Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Hai and the Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam, all praised enCity’s masterplan and the socio-economic benefits offered by the new ground-breaking development.
