Located at the centre of the development and with panoramic views to the lake, the park and residential buildings, the brief was to integrate F&B services, commercial units, a 2,250sqm-event hall and an indoor playzone to maximise its accessibility and stunning vistas.
Vision
The Community Centre is a vibrant one-stop lakefront destination, which provides unique and holistic experiences for individuals, groups and families centred on entertainment, community and nature.
enCity’s solutions
The architectural design is based on the concept of the Garden Gate and translated into two blocks that frame the lakefront area, acting as a gateway to its stunning views and landscape. Each block consists of separate functions – one serves as the commercial and event hall, while the other houses F&B services and the indoor playzone. To respond to the climate of the site, the facade features adjustable louvers, which provides adequate shading for the building during the day and can be opened up to reveal the panoramic views to the lake at night.
The two buildings are connected by a multi-functional amphitheatre, which acts both as a stairway linking the entrance plaza to the lakefront and an outdoor event space where public events can take place.
