This is the second award that enCity has received this year for its technology advancements in digital community engagement and planning data management.

Dubbed a game-changer in planning technology, the panel of judges commented, “the platform harnesses various digital technologies to serve the needs of various stakeholders, both public and professional, using data and visualisation to aid decision-making. It facilitates user engagement with the planning process.”

Originating from our master planning work in Thu Duc City, enCity developed an interactive online dashboard to enable the city’s planners in better decision-making through side-by-side comparison of various spatial information among existing conditions, the existing land use plan and the revised land use plan.

This user-friendly dashboard boasts features like dynamic filters and data-centric widgets. These tools enable city planners to delve deep into the plan, facilitating efficient land-use comparisons at the zonal planning level. The dashboard allows for visually comparing the different land use classes, and obtaining important metrics or statistics such as existing and projected population, land use percentages and areas occupied.

A platform like the Online GIS Dashboard helps save a tremendous amount of time for planners and local authorities, and cut out the paperwork and administrative burden commonly associated with government data.

Also featured on the dashboard are notable landmarks of the city, such as schools and hospitals, and planned transportation systems. These features enable the public to participate actively in the planning process and gain insights for their daily lives.

At enCity, our dedication lies in leveraging technology to elevate everyday experiences, from data management, public engagement, to most recently our spin-off initiative – enfarm Agritech, which aims to support farmers to do agriculture with precision.
