enCitizens of the Year award campaign is a valuable opportunity for enCitizens to come together and reflect on how our core values are displayed in our everyday work, and to celebrate enCitizens who best represent these values. In 2023, 6 enCitizens were celebrated.
The “Engage to Build Trust” award celebrates individuals who are committed to building long-lasting relationships both internally and externally, with trust as the foundation for fruitful collaborations. This year, the award went to Marco Buinhas (Director of Design + Architecture) and Hai Cao (Managing Director, enCity Vietnam). Marco goes out of his way to engage with both clients and colleagues, through both professional and personal means to build real human connections. He is full of ideas, with an artistic mind and an enthusiastic spirit. Hai Cao, with his excellent people skills and a keen sense of responsibility, works closely with clients, understanding their needs and the key elements to get projects off the ground.
The “Envision to Foster Innovation” award, given to those who are constantly seeking to enhance their work and boldly dare to venture into uncharted territory, this year went to Maulana Reddy (Associate, Urban Design + Architecture) and Kimberly Lum (Associate, Policy + Planning). Maulana and Kim are both hardworking, dedicated, and always want to do their best not only for their own work, but to support others internally and externally. Their dedication is seen across all offices, and even amongst colleagues who have never met them. Maulana always impresses the team with his skillful and thoughtful designs, while Kim moves from one project to the next with ease, bringing with her the innovations and lessons that she has gathered from her interdisciplinary experiences.
Last but not least, the “Enable to Create Impacts” award went to Phuc Tran (Senior Associate, Design + Architecture) and Dzung Quang (Ho Chi Minh City Office Manager), who are determined to deliver outcomes even amidst obstacles and challenges. Phuc and Dzung Quang are always bringing about creativity and good energy in the Ho Chi Minh City Office. They have been champions for the design and planning projects they have been tasked with, seeing an idea from the conceptual stage to project approval, working closely with clients to ensure maximum implementability.
