Drawing on rich experiences in urban and community development in Vietnam and around the world, Dzung presented five indispensable ingredients for successful urban redevelopment, along with successful urban regeneration projects. These five elements include Community buy-in, Legal preparation, Infrastructure construction, Place awakening, and Public-private partnership – to create a sustainable urban development.
Dzung also participated in the roundtable discussion, alongside other planning and design practitioners, to discuss the potential direction for urban regeneration in Vietnam. In particular, increasing flexibility in management and planning laws plays an important role in successful urban development.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for enCity to expand its network and enhance collaboration with multidisciplinary experts, to together shape the future of planning and urban regeneration in cities across Vietnam.
